The Watcher's Jam Session

Im kinda late on posting this. But anyways, we had this lil The Watchers jam session last saturday throwing 2 liner freestyles and random verses over random dope instrumentals. And for those who don't know, The Watchers consists of me, dafrosty, el-genio, and the rhymeweaver. Well, the real main objective for the meet up was to finish up the mixtape we're working on. But I guess everybody had punchlines shooting out nonstop that day, we never really got to the part where we record for the mixtape...

Kashfy studio's mixer

Frosty's moniter speakers

We had the session held at a studio in Gombak in which Dafrosty is part of the studio team. Right next to the holy Batu Caves I tell ya. The studio wasn't really ready for operations yet as wires and shit needed further furbishing. Boxes everywhere, live wire's hangin from the ceiling, and rats were... nah, just kidding. Ghettooooooo... But for me, I wouldn't really mind coz these dudes had state-of-the-art equipment. Mixers, condensers, dynamics, tweet speakers, and a brand new good lookin pop filter.

Frosty's Mac

Brand new SHURE SM58!!!!

and even more boxes of em!!!

The soundman practicing hand gestures

This is The Rhyme-muthafuckin-weaver bitcheeeeeez!!! We flew his ass here all the way from New Zealand via business class seats. Best believe that!!!

More music and updates coming sooooooon.

Nights In The City

I had to pimp this space up with sumthin. Here's a few pics taken recently at Cypher Sundaze. JERK CHICKEN!!!

The side wall at Cloth&Clef was wrecktified by graffiti artist JABA from Belgium.

And I think he sketched this piece in his sketch book just rite before he sprayed. I guess that must be the freestyle as known to can shakers.

JABA's weapon of choice. Shake-it, shake, shake-it, shake-it-like-a-polaroid-picture!!!

Dudes from the District Shop came by to hang out riding these cool ass lowrider bikes. If you guys are interested in gettin ya G on while ridin these bikes, drop by the shop. I've been wanting to drop by myself to take a peep but haven't had the time yet. Check out their cool ass site HERE.

The night was hella fun. Later on I got into an open mic cipher with Vandal, Raja Nas, and Andrew who's a tourist from Cali, with Illsteez and the DJ Nesh providing the super-cool beats and cuts. "I keep repeatin when I run outta rhymes..."

And btw, a mixtape is on the way, more collabos on the way, and that means more music on the way. Hehe.

June

Damn I just love June... Don't you love June? Asal June je mesti cuti. Cun lah... I've got so many things I wanna pour out and lay on this holy black blog but too little dedication to type em down. So fuckin lazy sedangkan duduk rumah bukan wat apa pun. Tau xpe... Now back to June. Ever thought if month's had genders? The only female month's would be April, May, and June. October would be a squid. And among the three, June laa gotsta be the hottest and sexiest. Why? Coz she's fuckin' June!! Muahahaha...

Artit Chot

That day before the other day, we celebrated Artit Chot's 19th birthday at Pizza Hut. Dude's got a soft spot for cakes and candles. I think he cried tears of joy after we sung him his birthday song. So sweeeeet rite. Muahaha. Siap main suap-suap ngan Kecik lagi.

Bila masa Nami amik cake?

Birthday Bwoi

Akay Amir Iqram

Akay had a chance to perform on stage for the first time last week on the 27th of May. Dude sure was nervous. Hella sweatin'. Dude did covers of Jack Johnson's Angel and Bo's Something New. He did awesome on stage even though he did'nt make it to the finals. Dude was even given another chance to perform on the following 29th of May. He even had the band 9teen's female singer doing a short flirt on him and a few other cute chinese chicks snappin photos of him. That's whatchu call success rite?

Yang jerit tu Kak Mawk ngan Kak Emma rasanya...

The kid with the goldie voice

I got a few performances myself coming this holiday. I'll update on that later.

The Wheels On The Bus Goes Round And Round

Word. Been a while since I traded my red ten's for a scribbled piece of paper and a seat on a bus. Too much hitchhiking, I totally forgot how it felt to be a backpacker. (Blame Troy, Tmot ngan Mal) =P... Thanks-a-milli ar Akay coz hantar aku. He sacrificed his nap time just so I could make it on the bus ride. I thought it was gonna be a lonesome journey. Guess not. Couple of minutes after I sat my ass down at the bus station, Cha datang. And a couple of minutes after Cha sat his ass down at the bus station, Chong datang. And a couple of minutes after Chong sat his precious ass down at the bus station, ada lagi datang tapi tak kenal. So, in the end there were three happy utp asses kissing the floors of the bus station.

Fast forward...
Hopped on the bus...
Sayonara to the bus station...
Welcome to dreamland...

............................

3 hours later...
Kuala Lumpur... Kuala Lumpur...
Datang dari jauh... Maruah dipertaruh...
Dengan impian untuk berjaya...
(Playlist suddenly jumps to 'Aku di Kuala Lumpur' by Malique)
Eyes wide open...

Through the bus window I saw the glorified Twin Tower sights, the cramped crowd of mixed colours, the cursed traffic jams, and them glorified sexy light taned ladies in cursed mini skirts. Nah... kidding. Puasa lorh. Anyways, it felt real goooooood to be back in my holy city of sins. They say "...it's not where you from, it's where you at that matters...". True but we gotta stay grounded and stick to our roots rite. Shieet, patriotic la plak. Be proud of where you're from! If not, you can kiss what the bus station just kissed. OK.

Not exactly a spot I'd suggest but boley laa...

Cha tak nampak tong sampah tepi tu.

I ain't frontin'. Get it?

He ain't either. We coo coo like that.

Guest Model: Cha

CEO of TYS : Ya boy...

And owh. I was just about to board the LRT when I realized I did'nt tell my mom yet I was coming home for the weekend. Cool rite?
